Our client is a leading logistics company in the fuel distribution industry.
They are seeking an Office Manager to manage a small team of planners in the dispatch office based in Purfleet, Essex.
You will be responsible for the day to day management of the dispatching team, taking driver calls, dealing with planning issues and organising rosters for 24/7 dispatch cover.
The ideal candidate will have -
- At least one years previous experience in a management role within a transport planning environment
- CPC
- Good knowledge of drivers hours regulations and working time directive
- Excellent organisational skills and a good working knowledge of transport planning systems
- Be able to work under pressure in a busy transport environment
The role is initially for a three to six month period.
